Thomas Reprographics is proud to congratulate Angela Lopez, a sophomore at King’s College in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, for being awarded a scholarship from the Children of Reprographic Employees Scholarship Trust (CREST). Angela is the daughter of Clare Lopez, Offset Printing Coordinator at our Richmond Ave. store in Houston. Angela Lopez is a Professional Writing major who serves as Co-Writing Editor of The Regis, the King’s College yearbook. As a sophomore, she is the youngest of the staff. In addition to excelling both in and out of the classroom, Angela works part time in the Writing Center, where she tutors students seeking to improve their writing skills. She serves as an Orientation Adviser on her college campus, and volunteers her time in the community by working with Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Angela is on the Dean’s List at King’s College, and her career goals include writing fiction and editing.
The CREST foundation brings together reprographics industry leaders, united in their membership in the International Reprographics Association (IRgA), who can help ensure a better future for the children of their workforce. Given the family and community-minded nature of this industry, The CREST Foundation is a natural extension of the close support that characterizes the people and businesses within it. It provides a way for reprographers – even in competitive relationships with one another – to work together in creating a more promising future for upcoming generations. While the majority of the scholarship fund is donated by reprographic industry insiders – both individuals and companies – a significant portion of each year’s donations come from industry suppliers and supporters such as equipment manufacturers, supply companies, financial institutions that invest in the industry and service suppliers. Their contributions make The CREST Foundation possible. For more information about The Crest Foundation, please visit www.crestfoundation.org.
